Career

At the outset of his professional career, he developed a strong practice in Sucre, specializing in constitutional and administrative litigation. He subsequently advised a significant portion of the regulated sector, including various supervisory authorities (Superintendencies). He is currently focused on corporate practice, with particular emphasis on tax structuring, corporate organization, and the design and implementation of compliance programs.

He led and was responsible for the strategic transformation of Barrero & Asociados into Ratio Legis as part of an expansion and institutional restructuring plan initiated in 2013, culminating in its consolidation as a franchise at the end of 2025.

He is the Founder and Director of the Bolivian Chamber of Franchises, a Director of the Bolivian Stock Exchange, and a Director of the Society for Geographic and Historical Studies of Santa Cruz.

LL.B. in Political, Social and Legal Sciences (1999). Master’s Degree in Constitutional Law (2002) and Master’s Degree in Business Law (2004). Holds postgraduate specializations in Administrative Law and Higher Education, among others, completed in Spain and Bolivia. Additionally completed the Strategic Management Program at INCAE Business School (Costa Rica).
