Shruti Kanodia has around 17 years of experience in Public and Private M&A, PE & VC Transactions, General Corporate Advisory, including Senior Management Employment, SEBI, FEMA and IBC related advisory, Restructuring of businesses, Insolvency and Bankruptcy, Data Privacy and Technology Laws, Banking & Finance, NBFC Finance, Debt Recovery, Debt Restructuring, Structured Finance and Security Arrangements.

Before starting Sagus Legal, she was a partner in the corporate transactions team at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, New Delhi. She has previously also worked with S&R Associates, New Delhi.

Shruti was considered as Highly Regarded Practitioner in Banking, M&A, Project Finance and Real State by IFLR 1000 in 2025. Further, she was also shortlisted as Recommended Lawyer in Banking and Finance, Corporate, Commercial and M&A by Legal500 in 2025.  In 2024, IFLR 1000 recognised her as Woman Leader in Banking and Finance and M&A.

Shruti is on the board of directors of Jindal Stainless Limited, Shalimar Paints Limited, Jindal Stainless Steelway Limited and Nalwa Sons Investments Limited (a listed NBFC) as an Independent Director.

Shruti graduated from National Law School of India University, Bengaluru with a gold medal in 2008.
