Partner - Funds & Private Equity

Rohini Nair is a Co founding member and Partner at ANB Legal and heads the Investment Funds & Corporate Transactions Practice.

She advises domestic and international fund sponsors, institutional investors, family offices and asset managers on the establishment, structuring and operation of investment funds across India, GIFT City and offshore jurisdictions.

Over the years, Rohini has advised on the establishment of numerous Category I, II and III Alternative Investment Funds, venture capital funds, private equity funds and sector-focused investment platforms. Her practice spans fund formation, regulatory strategy, investor negotiations, co-investment structures and ongoing fund governance.

In addition to her funds practice, Rohini regularly advises founders, investors and companies on venture capital, private equity and M&A transactions, including investments, exits, restructurings and strategic acquisitions. She has represented both domestic and international clients across technology, financial services, healthcare, consumer, manufacturing and other emerging sectors.

Rohini is a regular speaker at industry conferences and institutional forums on investment funds, private equity and regulatory developments. She also serves as a mentor and evaluator for entrepreneurial and investment platforms.

Apart from her legal profession, she is a trained Bharatanatyam dancer having cleared various state level dance examinations through Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal. Under the guidance and blessings of her Guruji, she continues to perform both nationally and internationally. In 2024 she participated in an Inter-Cultural Olympiad organized in Paris and was one the participants to have won a gold medal at the event.
