Maarten is an all-round lawyer who advises and litigates in all areas of civil law, including international banking and finance matters, commercial contracts, corporate law, employment law, insurance law and regulatory matters. Among his clients are companies within the hotel and leisure industry, the casino industry, the development and construction sector and the financial sector.

Maarten has been an attorney for over 20 years and joined HBN Law & Tax’ Aruba office in 2014.

Maarten’s other professional activities include lecturing at several organizations.

Maarten obtained his master’s degree at the University of Leiden.
