Career

Jenna Newman represents businesses and individuals in commercial litigation matters, bringing a steady courtroom presence and strong analytical background to each case she handles. Her experience across the criminal and civil arenas enables her to evaluate matters from multiple perspectives and anticipate how judges and opposing counsel will approach key issues.

Before joining Offit Kurman, Jenna served as an Assistant State’s Attorney for Baltimore City, where she prosecuted criminal and traffic misdemeanor cases in the District Court. In that role, she developed a deep understanding of courtroom procedure, trial advocacy, and evidentiary strategy while collaborating closely with law enforcement, witnesses, and expert consultants.

Jenna clerked for the Honorable Charles M. Blomquist in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City, where she drafted opinions, prepared daily court dockets, and assisted in managing complex juvenile and family law matters. She also gained insight into appellate advocacy through her work with the Maryland Office of the Attorney General’s Criminal Appeals Division and the Appellate Court of Maryland.
