Career

Honest Kapic counsels clients in bankruptcy, restructuring, and credit matters, providing steady guidance during times of financial uncertainty. He works with businesses and individuals to navigate Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 proceedings, out-of-court workouts, and related litigation. Clients value his clear communication, thoughtful preparation, and commitment to achieving practical solutions.

Honest’s approach to client service is shaped by his early experience with the United States Bankruptcy Court, where he externed during law school. Observing the decision-making process from the inside provided him with a unique perspective on how courts evaluate arguments and apply the law—an insight he now uses to position clients for the best possible outcomes. As a staff editor of the Science & Technology Law Review at Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, he honed his ability to analyze complex issues and present them with clarity.

His academic background also reflects a broad view of problem-solving. Before law school, Honest earned his bachelor’s degree in political science, cum laude, from the University of Texas at Arlington. He participated in the Bill Archer Fellowship Program in Washington, D.C., gaining exposure to federal policy and legislative processes, and was an active member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity.

His curiosity and drive for continuous learning are directly translated into his practice, where he remains attentive to evolving laws, economic conditions, and client needs.

Whether guiding a business through restructuring or helping an individual protect their future, Honest brings a calm, measured approach to complex financial challenges. His combination of legal training, real-world perspective, and dedication to service makes him a trusted advisor for clients seeking stability in difficult times.
