Daniel J. Schneider is a principal of Offit Kurman and a member of the construction law and commercial litigation practice groups. He is based in the firm's New York office but is active in the California and New Jersey markets, where he is also licensed. Daniel focuses his practice on adjoining property disputes and other real estate and construction issues including, defective construction/design, property damage, adverse possession, personal injury defense, and related commercial matters. In connection with servicing these clients, Daniel also handles commercial disputes and works closely with the labor and employment practice in connection with his outside general counsel clients.
Daniel has also experienced success in his tort defense practice which includes defending claims of slander, libel, assault, fraud, conversion, and breach of fiduciary duty. Daniel is a pragmatist who counsels clients to the optimal results through compromise or litigation. He is a tough but realistic negotiator who resolves issues. He has tried countless jury and bench trials, evidentiary hearings, arbitrations, and administrative proceedings and has substantial experience in various appellate courts.
With his history working in restaurants pre-law school, Daniel has developed a philosophy that being a legal practitioner is like being a server. Both must provide excellent service, communicate effectively, problem solve on a moment’s notice and most of all, provide superlative customer satisfaction. Daniel has tried to live this philosophy, making sure his clients are taken care of and achieving great results while doing so.
