Career
Mark Wendaur represents clients in corporate, real estate, and energy matters, with a focus on servicing the legal needs of entrepreneurs, family offices, families of wealth, and private equity firms. His clients include private capital professionals, real estate and renewable energy developers, family offices, and financial services professionals. He regularly advises these clients on structuring and executing capital investments, including direct investments, venture capital transactions, equity and debt financing, and fund formations and investments.
In his corporate practice, Mark drafts and negotiates commercial agreements, advises on corporate governance, and handles mergers and acquisitions, strategic corporate restructuring, and financing transactions. He collaborates closely with Offit Kurman's Trusts and Estates group to design and implement corporate and ownership structures that support asset protection and multigenerational estate planning goals.
Mark’s commercial real estate practice spans the acquisition, sale, leasing, and financing of a wide variety of property types, including hospitality, industrial, multifamily, office, retail, renewable energy, and natural resource assets. He also maintains a sophisticated land use practice, representing developers before zoning hearing boards and planning commissions to secure necessary approvals. Mark has successfully obtained variances, special exceptions, and conditional use approvals for complex and often contested development projects throughout Pennsylvania, including high-profile renewable energy developments.
His energy practice focuses on the solar sector, where he advises on land acquisition strategies, solar lease structuring, project due diligence, curative title work, and certified title opinions. Mark’s experience also includes advisory roles in large-scale energy developments involving natural gas, where he assists with ownership disputes, asset dispositions, and the formation of joint ventures. His early career in the land departments of major shale gas developers provides him with a practical, industry-informed perspective that benefits clients navigating the complexities of energy and infrastructure development.
Mark offers private capital clients and their advisors a comprehensive and business-focused approach to solving legal challenges across the corporate, real estate and energy landscape.
