Julian Ribet
Julian Ribet
Julian heads the specialist family boutique, Ribet Myles which was recently voted “Financial Remedies Team of the Year” at the LexisNexis Family Law Awards. In a career spanning more than 25 years, Julian is particularly known for his work in cutting edge family disputes.  He emerged as a family law star early in his career, acting in the landmark House of Lords case of Miller v. Miller; McFarlane v. McFarlane which updated the law to reflect the realities of modern life, wealth and family dynamics and established legal principles that are still relied upon today when dividing assets on divorce. From that groundbreaking start, he has consistently led the field in cases that chart new legal territory in response to changing times. Julian is regularly instructed in complex, high-value cases, often acting for high-profile individuals or their spouses or partners, concerning significant assets and income, usually with an international dimension and often involving forum disputes, asset tracing, the unravelling of complicated financial issues, dealing with inherited wealth, business assets, companies, tax, pensions and intricate corporate and offshore trust structures. He also has significant expertise in negotiating domestic and international pre- and post-nuptial agreements and international relocation cases. As co-founder and name partner, Julian’s distinctive blend of incisive legal thinking, dedication, diligence and determination, combined with empathy in client care, permeates the firm and is reflected in its core values. He is a fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers, an accolade awarded to only a small number of individuals who are recognised as worldwide leaders in the field of family law. He is a Resolution-accredited specialist for complicated cases and emergency remedies (injunctions) and also a Resolution-trained ‘all-issues’ mediator, as well as a member of The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators since 2014 and a member of The Association of Lawyers for Children. Julian has a conscientious approach and aims to provide a cost effective service of the highest quality whilst acting with sensitivity, empathy and discretion.
Lois Rogers
Lois Rogers
Lois is a celebrated family law practitioner specialising in advice to HNW and UHNW individuals on divorce, separation and family breakdown, whose City background, prior to specialising in family law, places her in a class of her own.  She began her legal career 20 years ago in the corporate finance team at global law firm Hogan Lovells, followed by an in-house legal role at international asset management and banking group Macquarie, which means her ability to decipher and untangle even the most complex and convoluted financial arrangements in the context of a divorce or relationship breakdown is second to none. Many of her cases involve complex remuneration packages, financial disclosure issues and asset tracing, and rely on her insight into business assets and complicated corporate and trust structures. She also has a passion for cohabiting relationship breakdown cases and Schedule 1 disputes involving children. Prior to joining Ribet Myles in September 2023, Lois spent ten years at another leading family law firm that focusses on HNW and UHNW clients, regularly acting on big-money cases for the world’s super-rich.  She joined Ribet Myles excited by the opportunity to help shape a new brand in the family law space. Lois has also been star ranked for a number of years in the Spear’s 500 listing of expert advisers and service-providers for (U)HNWs.  She is also recommended in Doyle's Law Guide.
