Roberto Cardona is a Partner in KPMG Mexico’s Tax & Legal practice. He specializes in tax controversy, administrative & public law, and constitutional law, with extensive experience advising national and multinational clients on tax audits, alternative dispute resolution mechanism, legal remedies, complex administrative proceedings, government-related disputes and public procurement procedures. Roberto frequently represents clients before federal and local authorities, focusing on regulatory frameworks, due process and the defence of constitutional rights in administrative and tax contexts.

Before joining KPMG in October 2024, Roberto was a partner at Baker McKenzie Abogados, S.C., where he led matters involving administrative litigation, constitutional amparos and tax controversies.

His practice combines strong technical expertise with a strategic understanding of the intersection between tax, regulatory compliance and public law.
