Nele Ansoms

Nele specialises in general administrative law, public law and environmental management law. Within GSJ, she works as an expert in spatial planning, with particular focus on permits, permit procedures and zoning offences. In the course of her career, she has assisted not only public administrations but also professional and private applicants with the drafting of their application files, the wording of urban development regulations, etc.In addition, Nele has a wealth of experience in the follow-up of appeal procedures before the Deputation and before the Council for Permit Disputes. Never one to be outdone, Nele recently upgraded her skills and acquired specialised know-how in the new Complex Project procedure. She regularly publishes articles on various aspects of her specialisations and organises seminars on all these aspects, both for beginners and for professionals.

Joris has become particularly specialised in administrative law and, more specifically, in general administrative law, environmental management law, public procurement negotiations and contracts, eminent domain property law, expropriations and road law. Versatility being the name of the game, Joris has focused his energies not only on judicial proceedings (courts and tribunals, the Council of State, the Council for Permit Disputes, etc.), but also on the challenging work of advising and assisting private clients, companies and public authorities.

At GSJ Jo has acquired more in-depth knowledge and more academic qualifications in urban development and spatial planning as well as in environmental law in the interests of private clients, companies and public authorities. In cooperation with public authorities, in fact, he has handled a wide range of cases ranging from the follow-up of environmental applications, construction appeals, assistance in the context of consultations with administrations in connection with deforestation or nature permits - in short, the entire spectrum of environmental law.As if that were not enough, Jo has become an eminent specialist in the niche area of enforcement in the context of urban development and environmental issues. In the field of enforcement, he has devoted his time mainly to giving seminars for civil servants, architects, lawyers, etc.Jo has also acquired a wealth of practical experience through his work as an expert in the GECORO (Municipal Spatial Planning Commission) of Vorselaar. Since 1 August 2018, he has served as an expert with the Supreme Court for Enforcement.In this capacity, he has acquired a reputation for resolving issues through a no-nonsense approach.
