Practices corporate law, focusing on legal disputes, with emphasis in the areas of administrative law, civil, commercial, consumer affairs, real estate, regulatory and insurance. Has extensive experience in litigation before state and federal Courts as well as consumer protection agencies and has published articles, among others, on telecommunications law, civil law, and criminal/tax law.

He served as Federal Counselor - for Pernambuco - of the Brazilian Bar Association (2014/2015 and 2016/2018), Member of the Special Committee for Corporate Advocacy of the Federal Council of the Brazilian Bar Association (2013/2015 and 2016/2018), President of the Committee of International Relations of the Brazilian Bar Association - Pernambuco Division (2001/2003), Vice-Director of the Electoral Judiciary School of the Regional Electoral Court of Pernambuco (2012/2015). He has been Honorary Consul of Sweden in Recife / PE since 2015.

Erik Limongi Sial holds the Bachelor of Laws degree from the Catholic University of Pernambuco, a postgraduate degree in public law from the Federal University of Pernambuco and has taken several extension courses at international legal institutions, such as Fordham School of Law, New York, USA, at Johann Wolfgang Goethe Universitat Frankfurt Am Main, in Frankfurt, Germany, and at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, Portugal.
