Career
Kensah Ashkar is a Senior Associate at Koranteng & Koranteng Legal Advisors with a growing reputation in project finance and commercial law. She is recognised as a Rising Star in Project Finance by IFLR1000. Kensah advises on a range of local and cross-border transactions with a focus on finance, infrastructure, mining, energy and regulatory compliance.
She brings robust transactional experience from previous roles at ENSafrica Ghana, where she advised on high-value facility and security agreements, conducted due diligence for acquisitions, and worked extensively on regulatory compliance within the oil, gas, and mining sectors.
At Koranteng & Koranteng, Kensah leads teams on key mandates including government-approved acquisitions, establishing Ghana’s first indigenous precious metals refinery, and the country's first multi-party loyalty program. Her drafting portfolio includes facility agreements, legal opinions, shareholders' agreements, NDAs, employment contracts, and due diligence reports .
Kensah is a member of the Ghana Bar Association and the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple, UK. She holds an LL.M from the London School of Economics and Political Science in Corporate Commercial Law, an LLB from King’s College London, Dickson Poon School of Law and a certificate in the Bar Professional Training Course from University of Law, London.
