Specialist in environmental, regulatory, and Indigenous law, with extensive experience in project development in sectors such as energy, industry, consulting, and aquaculture. His practice includes advising on regulatory compliance, environmental and regulatory assessment, management of sectoral permits, and resolution of administrative and judicial disputes.
Career
Lawyer specialized in environmental, regulatory, and Indigenous law, with over 20 years of experience. His practice focuses on project development, Environmental Impact Assessment System (SEIA), land-use planning, community affairs, and administrative and judicial disputes related to investment projects.
He has led teams in law firms and public institutions, advising on the planning, approval, and defense of projects in sectors such as mining, energy, and infrastructure. He served as Head of the Environmental Group at Carey (2011-2019), Legal Advisor at consultancy SGA (2008–2011), Legal Advisor at Fundacion Pumalín (2005–2008), and Chief
Legal Counsel of the Department of State-Owned Assets at the Ministry of National Assets (2001–2005).
Recognized in prestigious international legal rankings. Lecturer in environmental law and sustainability diploma programs at several universities. Member of the Chilean Bar Association and the American Bar Association, and former Secretary of the Inter-American Network of Lawyers Specialized in Environmental Legislation (RIELA). Former Chair of the Sustainability Committee of the Chilean Australian Chamber of Commerce (AUSCHAM).
