Gursharn is a Partner at PDLegal LLC. His main areas of practice include complex commercial, insolvency and shareholders’ disputes as well as international arbitration. As a litigator, Gursharn’s practice is defined by developing pragmatic and cost-effective solutions for his clients. A former diplomat turned lawyer, Gursharn’s unique background also allows him to approach complex legal issues from a practical perspective.

Gursharn has been instructed by a diverse group of clients including multinational corporations, SMEs and individuals and has advised his clients on, amongst other things, construction, employment, tortious, contractual, insurance, corporate and compliance matters. He has appeared at all levels of the Singapore Courts, including the Singapore International Commercial Court, the Singapore International Arbitration Centre and the Grain and Feed Trade Association and has several reported judgments to his name.

He holds a Juris Doctor (JD) from the Singapore Management University where he was an established international mooter and also holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Hons) degree in Economics and Political Science from the National University of Singapore. He was called as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2018.

Gursharn also seeks to actively contribute articles to advance the jurisprudence in Singapore, and he most recently co-authored an article titled “Oppression and Derivative Actions: Are the Lines Truly Distinct? Or are they Blurred?” [2025] SALC Prac 12 published in the practitioners’ journal of the Singapore Academy of Law on 9 May 2025.
