Managing Partner

Farid Nabili has more than 15 years of practice in Azerbaijani business-tax law with international experiences.  He has extended experience in general corporate and business law, construction law, banking-financial and tax law of Azerbaijan and international taxation issues.

Before joining CLC Mr. Nabili has led Tax Law Report Unit at the Ministry of Taxes where he authored several chapters of the Azerbaijani Tax Code currently in force, led Legal Department at one of the largest private investment groups in Azerbaijan prior to work at the Ministry of Taxes, worked as leading lawyer for the Central Bank of Azerbaijan where he was member of the Procurement Commission and has drafted Tender Regulations of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan and involved in the legislative work related to the banking and financial industry.

He is FIDIC a trained lawyer (Matrix-UK accredited FIDIC trainer) experienced in drafting FIDIC rainbow suite books as per Azerbaijan law in large public construction projects, such as headquarters of Central Bank (Silver Book), headquarters of the Ministry of Taxes (White Book, Read Book) and various 4-5 star private hotels and manufacturing plants.

Mr. Nabili is author of Tax Law Book (Bilnet, Istanbul, 2023) and has been teaching business law and tax law of Azerbaijan since 2013 at various Azerbaijani universities, the latest at Khazar University (business law) since 2020 and Baku State University (tax law) since 2023.
