Career

Matteo joined the firm in 2024 as a legal intern, where he gained hands-on experience in trademark, patent and design clearance matters, assisting clients in protecting and managing their intellectual property portfolios.

After obtaining his warrant, Matteo joined the firm's legal department as an advocate. In his current role, he advises and represents a diverse portfolio of local and international clients, with a particular emphasis on intellectual property litigation and dispute resolution. He regularly handles contentious matters before the Maltese judicial and administrative authorities, representing major foreign rights holders in the protection and enforcement of their intellectual property rights.

Education

Matteo obtained a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree from the University of Malta in 2023, followed by a Master of Advocacy degree in 2024. He was admitted to the Maltese bar and obtained his warrant to practice as an advocate in 2025. As part of his legal studies, Matteo spent a semester at the prestigious University of Ferrara in Italy under the Erasmus programme, where he specialised in European Union law.
