Angela Zumstein studied pharmacy at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich.  Part of her patent attorney training was carried out in the patent department of an internationally-operating Swiss pharma concern, where she gained valuable insights into the patent strategies of the pharmaceutical industry. Since she is the third generation of her family to choose the career of a patent attorney, she has particular knowledge of organic chemistry, especially in the fields of special chemicals, polymer chemistry and chemical process engineering.  She also assists clients in obtaining and enforcing supplementary protection certificates across the whole of the EEA.  In addition to managing international IP portfolios and securing supplementary protection certificates for clients’ intellectual property rights, she successfully represents clients in opposition, appeal and nullity proceedings.  She has been praised by clients as “highly professional and willing to understand the client’s issues.”
