Position

Dr Nicolas Herzog is a partner at Niedermann Rechtsanwälte and is regularly retained in cross-border disputes. His area of practice covers international commercial arbitration (ICC, ICSID, Swiss Rules, ad hoc, counsel and arbitrator role); commercial litigation (banking, licensing, joint ventures, construction); enforcement of foreign judgments in Switzerland; and attachments and injunctive relief.

Career

Trained Zurich; qualified 2001. Bar admission 2001, clerkship with the Swiss Federal Supreme Court, senior associate with the dispute resolution team of a leading Zurich law firm (Homburger AG). In 2012 he co-established the litigation firm Herzog & Gozzi, which merged with Niedermann Rechtsanwälte in 2012. Partner Niedermann Rechtsanwälte 2012 to date. Publications of note: ICSID (with Niccolò Gozzi), in: Arbitration 2014, Getting the Deal Through, London 2014; Commentary on Art 328-334 Swiss Code of Civil Procedure (Basle Commentary, 3rd ed. 2017).
