Etienne Drouard is one of the most prominent lawyers in France focusing on information technology, privacy, and data protection matters. Etienne is recognized by Chambers & Partners, Europe and Lawyer of the Year 2020 as one of the top five specialists in France.

Etienne started his career at CNIL (the French Data Protection Authority) in 1996 and joined private practice in 2000. He has contributed to numerous European and French parliamentary works, public consultations, and publications, particularly on the GDPR, the draft ePrivacy Regulation, the EU AI Act, data transfers and governance, digital sovereignty, and cybersecurity.
