Byron is an EU and international trade law specialist advising on trade compliance, trade defence, international trade agreements, and dispute settlement. He represents clients before the European Commission, EU Member State authorities, and has worked on more than two dozen cases before the Court of Justice of the EU. His practice includes advising on economic sanctions, export controls, and customs issues such as classification and origin, as well as emerging ESG‑driven trade measures like the EUDR, CS3D, CBAM, and the Forced Labour Regulation. Byron has been involved in many high‑profile anti-dumping, anti-subsidy, and safeguard investigations worldwide, advises on the EU Foreign Subsidies Regulation, and supports clients and governments in all stages of WTO dispute settlement and in assessing national measures’ compatibility with WTO rules.
