Since more than 20 years, Florian-Alexander Wesche advises energy companies, businesses in the energy-intensive sectors, the real estate sector, and financial investors on all aspects of German and European energy law, with a particular focus on energy regulation and energy contract law.
Specifically, Florian is experienced in energy supply business, power production and distribution projects (renewable and conventional sources, including contracting), energy procurement and trading concepts and contracts as well as BESS, data center projects and emobility charging solutions. He particularly has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating energy supply contracts, PPAs and power plant related agreements.

In addition, Florian has wide-ranging expertise of the German Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG), energy price relief schemes and energy regulatory compliance monitoring for industrials. Alongside of this he has an in-depth knowledge of the areas of German and European regulation concerning grid access to gas, power and hydrogen grids, LNG terminals and access to gas storage systems. The complementary advice in all matters related to real estate including energy efficiency in buildings and national fuel emissions trading regime (BEHG) is also part of his practice.
