‘Clients feel safe when they have Sean Reilly on their side.’

‘They do the work required and more. This is a firm that provides a private client service to legal aid clients. It deserves proper recognition for that.’

‘This team is excellent. The attention to detail is outstanding and no stone left unturned in the preparation of a case. Every case receives the same diligent application.’

‘The practice benefits from the combination of having very skilled lawyers offering first class representation and at the same time being very approachable.’

‘Leila Abdul-Rasool – A very capable lawyer with good attention to detail, a good legal brain, and excellent client care, going well above the call of duty. She is a real asset to the firm.’

Work highlights

  • Acted on a case predicated on a client’s refusal for almost 20 years to provide his ex-wife a Jewish religious divorce, to determine as to whether this constituted coercive or controlling behaviour.
  • Represent a defendant charged subject to an investigation into the Organised Crime groups suspected of facilitating the unlawful entry of at least 14 children from Calais to the UK.
  • Represented the defendant charged with two others, all Iranian Nationals who facilitated the illegal entry of asylum seekers from France to the UK.

Established by Jeffrey Lewis and Stephanie Nedas, over 35 years ago, the firm has expanded from its original Camden location and now has offices in East London, Mayfair and Oxford, serving its respective client base in those areas.

Renowned for its criminal defence and serious fraud defence work over the years, it has gradually expanded its service menu to include buoyant departments dealing with: civil fraud and asset recovery: company/ commercial, dispute resolution, employment, probate, wills and trusts, professional disciplinary, property ( both residential and commercial ).

Jeffrey Lewis has steadily recruited lawyers, from other Legal 500 ranked firms, former barristers and partners from City and West End practices, bringing with them a wealth of talent and expertise.

These lawyers in turn attract both commercial and individual clients both in the UK and abroad bringing with them high profile, complex cases and instructions.

The firm has always ‘punched way beyond its weight‘ in terms of the quality and volume of its cases and instructions, consistently achieving excellent results and high client satisfaction rates (borne out by testimonials and reviews) but places itself as in terms of fee pricing as ‘mid-market‘.

Jeffrey Lewis firmly believes that it is possible to offer first class service to clients, that easily excel those offered by competitors at affordable, realistic, transparent pricing levels.

The firm prides itself upon its absolute discretion, low key but effective approach and ‘cutting edge’ legal services.
