Career

Dimitri’s diverse practice focuses on corporate and commercial law, mergers & acquisitions, real estate, shipping, tax, and banking, finance & capital markets. He regularly advises domestic and foreign clients on buyouts, joint ventures, financings, corporate restructurings and tax matters. He is particularly active in the real estate and shipping industries.

Handled transactions include, inter alia, representation of a foreign private equity fund in the acquisition and development of a real estate property owned by the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund S.A., representation of the Greek government in a divestiture of a state controlled entity, representation of a foreign company in the aquaculture industry in the acquisition of a Greek company, representation of a Greek insurance company in its acquisition of the Greek operations of an insurance multinational, representation of a multinational company in the security services industry in the acquisition of a Greek company, representation of a S&P Global 100 company in the Greek aspects of the restructuring of its worldwide operations, representation of a number of shipping companies in joint ventures with institutional and other investors, representation of a number of shipping and real estate companies in asset finance transactions and representation of a Greek company in its participation in a hydroelectric power plant project.

Before becoming a partner of Kerameus & Partners, Dimitri practiced for a number of years in the business department of a major New York law firm. During his practice there, he represented public and privately held companies in mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, debt issuances and compliance with US securities laws. Dimitri has also worked for a major shipping company as legal and business counsel.
