About
Aceris Law is a specialist boutique law firm dedicated exclusively to international arbitration. The firm represents clients in complex international commercial arbitrations, investor-State arbitrations and international construction disputes. It also advises on international mediation and settlement negotiations, as well as the recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards.
Aceris Law combines the legal and technical capabilities required for high-value, document-intensive disputes with the responsiveness, flexibility and competitive fee arrangements of a specialised boutique. Its streamlined structure allows clients to work directly with experienced arbitration practitioners throughout every stage of a matter.
Although headquartered in Geneva, Aceris Law has a genuinely international practice. Its lawyers are based in leading arbitration centres, including Geneva, Paris, London and Dubai, and regularly act in matters seated in or connected with other major jurisdictions and arbitral centres.
The firm has acted for States and State entities, publicly listed companies, privately held companies, investors and high-net-worth individuals from more than 80 jurisdictions. Its experience spans a broad range of sectors, including construction and infrastructure, energy and natural resources, technology, fintech, cryptocurrency, private equity, healthcare, mining, international trade, defence procurement, renewable energy, maritime technology and real estate.
Aceris Law has extensive experience conducting arbitrations under the rules of the ICC, ICSID, LCIA, SIAC, SCC, ICDR, AAA, DIAC, HKIAC, Swiss Arbitration Centre, CAS, LMAA, KCAC and numerous other arbitral institutions. The firm also regularly represents clients in ad hoc proceedings, including arbitrations conducted under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules.
Arbitration and enforcement capabilities
Aceris Law advises clients throughout the entire arbitration lifecycle, from pre-arbitration strategy and settlement negotiations to emergency measures, merits proceedings, annulment and enforcement.
Over the past year alone, the firm has acted in nine arbitration-related enforcement and post-award proceedings arising from cases in which it had previously served as lead counsel. These proceedings involved jurisdictions including Kenya, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, China, Oman, Thailand, Italy and Indonesia.
The firm’s ability to coordinate arbitration and enforcement strategies across multiple jurisdictions is a significant feature of its practice. Clients frequently retain Aceris Law to conduct enforcement and post-award proceedings following a favourable arbitral outcome.
Innovation and service delivery
Aceris Law operates through a technology-supported organisational model. Its lawyers collaborate through secure digital workspaces and videoconferencing platforms, enabling the team to work efficiently across jurisdictions and time zones.
The firm also has access to meeting and office facilities in more than 120 countries, allowing its lawyers to meet clients, collaborate with local advisers and prepare for hearings wherever appropriate.
