Arye Liany is recognized as an expert and one of the leading lawyers in Israel in infrastructure projects, with special expertise in representing leading entities in cross-border infrastructure transactions in Africa and Latin America. Adv. Liany developed his expertise in infrastructure projects during nearly thirty years of practice as General Counsel, V.P Legal and Executive/Management Board member in leading international corporations, and a lawyer representing clients who are active in the water, agriculture, waste, energy, and transportation industries. Adv. Liany has developed a unique expertise in FIDIC suit of contracts, and Contracts for works financed by the European Development Fund or the EU, which are broadly used worldwide by Governates and Governmental authorities for construction projects. Adv. Liany represents both project owners and contractors, and owns extensive and diversified experience in many areas of law, with special emphasis on tenders, construction, project finance, and buyer’s/export credit financing, allowing him to provide his clients comprehensive legal advice with respect to all aspects of the projects during all phases of such projects, from tender stage, design and construction stages, including representation in disputes, claims, adjudication and arbitration. Among his activities, Adv. Liany provides clients with legal advice in connection with various project related agreements, including construction agreements (Design, Build, Design-Build, Turnkey EPC, etc.), O&M agreements, project finance agreements, subcontract and supply agreements, Join Venture, and shareholders’ agreements.
