Combining the deep bench strength of two national offices and one in London, the experienced Paris luxury goods team at Joffe & Associés remains a leader in the practice area, advising major market players in fashion, perfumes, beverages, cosmetics and hospitality on a diverse spectrum of matters. The group is led by Thomas Lepeytre, who is an expert in distribution and the sale and purchase of industrial production sites and complex contractual projects, and Véronique Dahan, who brings strength to non-contentious and contentious IP matters, including assignment and content agreements and infringement lawsuits. They are supported by counsel and sector specialist Alvyn Gobardhan. IP/IT partner Emilie de Vaucresson joined in March 2022 from EDV Avocats.

The sports law team at Joffe & Associés is led by the experienced Romain Soiron. The group is experienced in representing a wide-range of clients, particularly in the football area, including domestic federations and leagues as well as local organising committees and football clubs, in complex cases concerning ticket resale disputes, the sale and purchase of clubs, cross-jurisdictional sponsorship deals, and commercial contract negotiations. It is also well-equipped to act for its well-known individual clients in contentious matters relating to the alleged mismanagement of funds and image rights, among other areas. Joffe & Associés strengthened its IP offering through the March 2022 merger with EDV Avocats, adding experienced intangible assets and data protection expert Emilie de Vaucresson to its ranks. She joins IP contracts specialist Véronique Dahan in leading the team, which advises clients primarily from the luxury goods sector on contracts for the use of IP assets, as well as disputes revolving around ownership of IP rights and infringement seizures.

Joffe & Associés has continued to grow its IP practice, with Emilie de Vaucresson, who advises on the protection of IP and intangible assets and leads on contentious matters, joining Véronique Dahan‘s team after EDV Advocats merged with the firm in March 2022. The team conducts trade mark audits for clients and assists with the drafting of contracts, including licence, coexistence and assignment agreements. On the contentious front, the practice group handles mass trade mark infringement disputes and seizures in addition to UDRP proceedings.

Joffe & Associés’ practice head Olivier Cavezian has expertise in merger control, taking on notifications to the European and French competition authorities for a range of deals including cross-border transactions. The practice also covers FCA investigations and proceedings, including cartel matters; follow-on damages actions, for which it works with the litigation team; and distribution strategies. As well as acting for clients from the consumer goods, pharmaceutical and biomedical industries, the firm also advises eco-organisations on antitrust issues, with a unique knowledge of extended producer responsibility.
