Employment Tier 3
Karman Associés is the result of the merger of former employment boutique Vivant Chiss following its spin-off in June 2020 with a private equity and corporate boutique led by Carine Rohou-Borsello and François Brocard. The employment team combines acts for prominent companies, notably on major restructuring, M&A and litigation work. It is notably defending Iliad’s call center provider Mobipel in dealing with a high-stakes criminal trial led by the labour inspection authorities, the unions and the public prosecutor accusing the company of undertaking a disguised redundancy plan. The firm also provided key support during the first Covid-19 lockdown. Romain Chiss, Florence Froment-Meurice and Erwan Jaglin co-head the practice.

Karman Associés > Firm Profile
KARMAN brings together lawyers committed to the economic, social and responsible performance of companies.
Beyond the usual limits between corporate and employment law, KARMAN offers a combination of expertise in private equity/M&A and corporate employment law, under a single signature, with a common objective.
Thus, in parallel to the traditional activities of advice and litigation in their respective practices, KARMAN’s teams propose to their clients a new transversal offer, “Beyond the lines”, which is articulated around three major axes:
- Supporting companies in all their life cycles, through the implementation of effective and ambitious tools to seize growth opportunities and anticipate potential difficulties.
- Levers for commitment and value sharing based on innovative policies and instruments for remuneration, profit-sharing and shareholding.
- Corporate ethics, including governance and RSE.
KARMAN is the promise of a global and concerted approach, allowing our clients to benefit from efficient and coherent advice on operations combining labor law and private equity/corporate law, without antagonism between our practices.
