Senior Associate

Laila is a Senior Associate at Meysan and is part of the firm’s corporate practice. Laila’s expertise focusses on mergers and acquisitions as well as general corporate matters. She has experience conducting due diligence exercises, reviewing transaction documents, drafting and reviewing commercial agreements, drafting legal opinions and legal memos, advising on restructuring mechanics and conducting day-to-day corporate secretarial work in various sectors.

KEY REPRESENTATIONS:

Development Partner International in the acquisition of a minority stake in Mashroey and Tasaheel, the leading companies in consumer finance, microfinance and E-commerce. A consortium of investors in connection with the acquisition of the shares in Adwia Company, a leading Egyptian Pharmaceutical manufacturer. Al Mansour Automotive on establishing their new automotive manufacturing facility in Egypt. Development Partners International in connection with its minority investment and subsequent exit from B. TECH, a leading Egyptian home appliances company. Adwia Company in connection with the carve-out of certain assets in Egypt. GB Auto Group in connection with the sale of its 7.5% minority stake in MNT Investments B.V. to Chimera Investment for USD 60 million.
