Fox & Partners is engaged by partners/members and partnerships and LLPs within the legal, insurance and financial services markets (including hedge funds, asset management and private equity), where there are not only high value financial issues at stake, but also regulatory and reputational issues to consider.
The firm has undertaken litigation in multiple jurisdictions, including a cross-border case involving the issuing of proceedings in both the High Court and Employment Tribunal, as well as arbitration, relating to the shock expulsion of an LLP member and forfeiture of carried interest in a private equity fund.
Fox & Partners receive regular instructions from LLP members in the financial services sector to deal with issues at the cutting edge of partnership law, including relating to discretionary decision making to expel or retire partners with the consequent loss of multi-million pounds of carried interest.
