Based in Geneva, Switzerland, MANGEAT is a dynamic law firm helping clients to achieve their ambitions in today’s complex and fast-changing world.

When it was founded in January 2016, the firm brought to its clients the benefit of working with an already fully formed and experienced team. Its three founders, Grégoire Mangeat, Joël Chevallaz and Fabien Aepli, had all worked together for more than a decade and all their current senior associates followed them from Eversheds Sutherland Switzerland.

The entire team aims to challenge the status quo while delivering solutions and results that exceed the clients’ expectations. To mitigate risks and seize opportunities, the firm gives the highest importance to the continuous education and training of its team. Combined with an agile mindset and a permanent team-oriented approach, this enables its attorneys to compete with the top practices in the country. In order to better deal with the increasing complexity of a more connected and global landscape, the firm also developed a network of more than 250 lawyers in most jurisdictions over the world, allowing it to assist its clients in all types of cross-border activities.

MANGEAT aims to be at the forefront of the legal profession by always thinking ahead, implementing innovative tools and offering a seamless collaboration between a wide range of talents, both within and outside the legal world.

CLIENT: Walter Stresemann, Managing Director
COMPANY/FIRM: Vistra Geneva SA
TESTIMONIAL: “Mangeat’s work for one of our major HNWI client who is involved in the devolution of an extremely complicated, multi-jurisdictional estate case has been of critical importance.
From day one of our interactions, Fanny Margairaz’s and Grégoire Mangeat’s competence impressed the client, as well as his advisers and lawyers in other countries. Communication and responsiveness were impeccable and immediately re-assured the client and his advisers. The complexity of the work required considerable research and expertise and both of them were able to guide us through various legal processes with a great deal of care and clarity. At the same time Mangeat’s team ensured that we, the client and lawyers in other jurisdictions involved were aware of every process detail and on the same page.”

Their knowledge of Swiss financial regulations applicable to blockchain and cryptocurrency projects is essential to us. Their professional support and high-quality advice are extremely appreciated by our team. They are responsive, pragmatic and technically skilful. Also, they are very clear and transparent with regard to their fees. For these reasons, they participate in business meetings, understand the ultimate business goals and hence tailor the right legal advice and consultancy to ultimately create value for us and for our clients – I see this as a shift from a “cost of doing business” to “business investment yielding returns”.”

At Mangeat Attorneys at Law we believe in the importance of Corporate Social Responsibility, especially in our capacity as attorneys at law. Therefore, we are involved in various pro bono and volunteer activities, be it to defend the access to justice or to seek better systems of justice.

Our pro bono work goes beyond the traditional representation of people with limited resources. The importance of Law is growing on a daily basis and with that our responsibility to address the pressing challenges that ensue.

We aim to truly make a difference and address problems such as unequal access to justice, devastation caused by conflicts and massive immigration waves that follow, global health threats and of course important human rights issues (for instance with members or our team participating in the Geneva Human Rights Commission).

Our volunteer activities also include commitments beyond the legal community. For instance, to actively support charitable organisations.
