At MANGEAT we believe in the importance of Corporate Social Responsibility, especially in our capacity as attorneys at law.

Therefore, we are involved in various pro bono and volunteer activities, be it to defend the access to justice or to seek better systems of justice.

Our pro bono work goes beyond the traditional representation of people with limited resources. The importance of Law is growing on a daily basis and with that our responsibility to address the pressing challenges that ensue.

We aim to truly make a difference and address problems such as unequal access to justice, devastation caused by conflicts and massive immigration waves that follow, global health threats and of course important human rights issues (for instance with members or our team participating in the Geneva Human Rights Commission).

• Working as an extended resource to the legal department of a global healthcare company on all commercial matters  and assisting the client in handling an increasing needs for legal support across the EMEA region.
   
• Assisting a client in opposing his extradition to the United States within the context of the FIFA scandal. 

• Assisting a foreign central bank within the context of criminal proceedings initiated by the Federal Office of the Attorney General in relation to bribes paid to certain employees. 

• Advising a Spanish private equity investor on the acquisition of shares in a luxury Swiss watch company, including drafting of the shareholders’ agreement. 

• Representing Latin American heirs in Switzerland in a complex and multijurisdictional inheritance dispute. 

• Assisting the daughter of a foreign state’s former leader in criminal proceedings for money laundering con- ducted by the Federal Office of the Attorney General within the context of a major bribery scandal that led to the seizure of assets amounting to around USD 800 million and mutual legal assistance requests from 20 foreign states.
