Work highlights

  • Advised on a reported matter dealing with court failures to seal a claim form, resulting in a claim served out of time, in which the claimant’s appeal was nonetheless refused.
  • Acted as defence at a contested hearing regarding a trustee in bankruptcy who sought to argue beneficial interest in four properties on behalf the bankrupt party in order to increase the value of the estate.

With a burgeoning presence in the West Midlands, the corporate practice at Talbots Law is engaged by a diverse range of corporate clients and individuals for assistance – particularly in the banking and care sectors. Practice head Mike Linford, who works across the firm’s offices in Stourbridge and Wolverhampton, is the key name to note.

Established in 1991 as a traditional family law firm, Talbots is now one of the largest independent law firms in the region, with a strong private client, and business and corporate services proposition.

The firm: With 11 offices located across the Midlands, Talbots Law Limited has enjoyed a sustained high level of growth, achieved both organically and by acquisition.
