Nick has specialised in restructuring and insolvency work since he qualified as a solicitor in 1985. He spent the first 10 years of his career in London before moving to the South Coast to set up a restructuring and insolvency practice for a major regional law firm. He joined Isadore Goldman in April 2024.

Nick regularly acts for insolvency practitioners and for creditors and directors of insolvent companies. He has considerable experience of advising banks, invoice discounters and other asset-based lenders on insolvency-related issues. He also acts for sellers and buyers of distressed businesses and assets (often through a pre-pack administration). He also advises on business restructurings and turnarounds and solvent liquidations.

Nick has worked in various sectors, including hospitality and leisure, real estate, retail, manufacturing, energy, education, charities, transport and infrastructure.

Nick has worked on a number of high profile and complex insolvencies including the administration and subsequent liquidation of a national chain of Mexican themed restaurants and a Manchester based property development company which sold flats off-plan to investors.

Nick is a fellow of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals (R3) and a former chairman of the Southern Region of R3.
