- Securing a multi- million pound settlement on behalf of an 18 year old Claimant who was riding his motorcycle when he was hit by another motorcyclist travelling on the wrong side of the road. Our client sustained a significant head injury as well as a brachial plexus injury rendering his dominant arm unusable.
- Representing the wife of a 33 year old man who was tragically killed in a road traffic accident when a van pulled out directly in front of his motor cycle causing him to collide with the side. We reached a settlement in excess of £1million on behalf of his wife and two young children within less than a year of the accident date.

In May 2022 Irwin Mitchell opened a new office in Cardiff with a number of specialist teams and colleagues supporting this new offering. We had previously had a number of clients in the South Wales region and the new office enables us to enhance the client experience by providing more flexible options for our clients to meet and work with our specialist colleagues. The Serious Injury team in Cardiff focusses on brain and spinal cord injury, amputations, other serious injury cases and fatal accidents. The team is led by Deborah Rose, who has worked for Irwin Mitchell for 14 years and is accredited by APIL as a Senior Litigator and Brain Injury Specialist`. The Serious Injury team work closely with a number of hospitals, clinicians and charities, all of whom specialise in supporting catastrophically injured people.
