Feyoena Crommelin works as a lawyer at SIX. She specialises in civil construction and real estate law.
Career
Feyoena obtained her bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts & Sciences, cum laude, from Amsterdam University College, and her bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Amsterdam. The thesis she wrote as part of the former degree offers a legal-philosophical perspective on copyright in artworks located in public space. An adapted version of this thesis was published in the International Journal of Cultural Property.
At Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Feyoena completed both the master’s programme in Law, specialising in Construction Law, and the master’s programme in Arts and Culture: Architectural History. For her master’s thesis on the renewal of Amsterdam’s bridges and quay walls in the protected cityscape, she received a thesis award from the Institute for Construction Law. An adapted version of this thesis was published in the Tijdschrift voor Bouwrecht under the title “Verval en vernieuwing van historische infrastructuur. De wegenrechtelijke zorgplicht in erfgoedrechtelijk perspectief” (TBR 2023/76).
For a time, Feyoena was affiliated with the Institute for Construction Law, in which capacity she contributed as an author to the Praktijkboek Intellectuele Eigendomsrechten in het bouwrecht [Practice Handbook on Intellectual Property Rights in Construction Law].
