Anderson obtained his master’s degree in corporate law from the University of Cambridge, with First Class Honours in all subjects, ranking first in his year.

Anderson frequently advises international corporations and insolvency practitioners on contentious insolvency matters across multiple jurisdictions. In particular, he has acted for and assisted listed companies, financial institutions, liquidators, provisional liquidators, receivers and trustees across a full spectrum of court applications and legal proceedings, such as creditor’s compulsory winding-up (from issuance of statutory demand to appointment of liquidators), enforcement actions in relation to securities, recognition of appointment of foreign liquidators, and scheme of arrangement/individual voluntary arrangement.

Furthermore, Anderson regularly advises corporations and high net worth individuals on a wide range of domestic and cross-border disputes concerning contractual claims, shareholders’ disputes, breach of trust, cross-border contentious probate, and enforcement of foreign judgments. Specifically, urgent court applications such as injunction, charging order, appointment of provisional liquidators or equitable receivers, and pre-action discovery are all within his areas of practice.

Anderson also has considerable experience in arbitration, including but not limited to conducting arbitration proceedings at the HKIAC, SHIAC and other arbitral centres in the PRC, assisting PRC counsel to apply for assets preservation order in the PRC in aid of arbitration proceedings in Hong Kong, making applications to the Hong Kong Court to set side or enforce foreign arbitral awards.
