Position
Chris qualified in 1996 and has the best part of 30 years’ experience specialising in Family Law.
He mainly advises on the consequences of relationship breakdown. Many clients will be married and divorcing but an increasing number will never have been married. He can help advise regarding the arrangements for children and on the financial consequences of the breakdown of the relationship. He is fully supportive of moves to resolve disputes outside of court where possible but is known for dealing with the larger, more complex and, above all, more difficult cases which often involves court.
He also helps couples thinking about living together and/or marrying to protect themselves from the possible future consequences of relationship breakdown through the use of cohabitation agreements and/or pre or post nuptial agreements.
Career

Chris’ career to date has been in Birmingham and the West Midlands where he has worked for some of the larger regional and national practices including Irwin Mitchell and Harrison Clark Rickerbys and latterly Wilkes but has relocated to Cambridge to be closer to the family for personal reasons.
