LUTZ | ABEL ADVISES SHAREHOLDERS OF PLASMION ON SALE TO SHIMADZU

LUTZ | ABEL advised the shareholders of Plasmion GmbH, including, inter alia, the founders Dr. Jan-Christoph Wolf and Dr. Thomas Wolf, HTGF, BayBG and Wieland Capital on the sale of a 75% stake in the company to Shimadzu Corporation, a global leader in analytical and measuring instruments headquartered in Japan.
With this transaction, Shimadzu strengthens its presence in the field of advanced analytical technologies and expands its portfolio in innovative mass spectrometry solutions. Plasmion, an Augsburg-based technology company, is known for its pioneering developments in ion mobility spectrometry, particularly its SICRIT® technology, which enables rapid and highly sensitive chemical analysis.
The LUTZ | ABEL team was led by Philipp Hoene (lead partner, Munich) and included Constanze Hachmann (Hamburg), Lars Dieball (Munich) and Frank Hahn (Hamburg, all M&A), as well as Cornelius Renner (IP/IT, Berlin). The firm advised the sellers on all legal aspects of the transaction, including structuring, negotiation and execution.
