Career

Paul is a partner in the healthcare and public law team with nearly 20 years’ experience acting for public and private sector healthcare organisations. Paul has a broad practice including inquests, mental health, Court of Protection and mental health work. Paul is listed as a leading partner in 2024 Legal 500.

Paul advises his clients in respect of a broad range of issues including complex and sensitive inquests, court of protection, judicial review, patient safety and patient care issues overlapping with safeguarding. Paul often advises on NHS commissioning decisions, policies and corporate governance. Paul also has experience in regulatory and professional disciplinary issues.

Qualifying in 2006, Paul worked as an Associate in Linder Myers LLP, moving to Hempsons in 2013 as a Senior Solicitor. Paul then moved to Hill Dickinson LLP as a Senior Associate in 2015 and was then promoted twice making Partner in 2021.
