We acted for the Channel Islands Financial Ombudsman defending a judicial review of its decision to uphold a complaint from a member of the public and order a payment in compensation.
We acted for the plaintiff in a judicial review of the Jersey police financial intelligence unit’s decision to withhold consent to transact in funds, on the grounds of suspicion of money laundering. The Court gave guidance as to how such a decision might become disproportionate with the passage of time, if there was no criminal investigation.
We acted for the Meinl family in a judicial review of the decision of the Attorney General to release information to an overseas criminal investigation.
