Mr. Abouzaid is a senior associate lawyer, practicing in dispute resolution, more specifically international arbitration.

He has been selected, among 30 participants, to attend the 59th session of prestigious the International Law Seminar (ILS) in 2025, designed for postgraduate students, emerging scholars, government officials, and young practitioners in the field of international law, and provides its attendees with an in-depth exposure on matters under consideration by the International Law Commission (ILC). He attended the last week of the International Law Commission’s “ILC’s” plenary meetings.

Mr. Abouzaid collaborated with Prof. Brian McGarry, as an associate legal expert, in a legal research project conducted under the auspices of Leiden University in partnership with the Grotius Center for International Legal Studies. 

Mr. Abouzaid is admitted to the Egyptian Bar and licensed to practice law in Egypt.

He is a member of the Young International Council for Commercial Arbitration "ICCA".

Mr. Abouzaid graduated from Cairo University and earned Master 1 from Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne University in international business law.

He pursued the Geneva LL.M in International Dispute Settlement “MIDS” and the admission committee selected him to receive one of the MIDS managed (merit-based) scholarships.
