MATTHEW BILES, previously Head of Private Client & Tax at Ince, has moved his London team to Greenwoods. This follows very shortly after Roger Harding left Ince, joining Greenwoods as Head of Tax & Trusts.   After the team’s departure, Matthew Biles said: “Greenwoods is a fantastic firm for us to join. It is ambitious, agile, has a strong record of growth and an excellent client portfolio.” Robert Dillarstone, Greenwoods’ Managing Partner, said: “This team has an outstanding reputation and client base; we are delighted to welcome them to Greenwoods.”  As a result, Greenwoods, which has just moved to new offices in Lincoln’s Inn Fields, has significantly bolstered its Wealth Preservation practice in London. Stephen Jarvis, Head of Corporate & Commercial at Greenwoods, joined from Ince just over one year ago. For clarity, Greenwoods is not successor practice to Axiom Ince Limited or any part of it.

The four partner, London-based Armstrong Teasdale Intellectual Property team will move to Greenwoods on Monday, 16 September.  Commenting on the move, team head, Jim Boff said: “Following Armstrong Teasdale’s withdrawal from the UK, it is great to be joining Greenwoods. We have been impressed that their client-focussed approach to law aligns with our approach of providing commercially appropriate IP advice and services.” Robert Dillarstone, Greenwoods’ Managing Partner, said: “This team brings an outstanding reputation, exceptional technical skills and extensive experience. We are incredibly pleased to welcome them to Greenwoods.” As a result, Greenwoods has significantly increased its IP expertise and can offer a comprehensive range of IP services. In addition to Jim Boff, Martin Hammler, James McAllister, and Arthur Boff join the firm. Additionally, Robert Bell joins from Armstrong Teasdale as a competition and regulatory consultant.  Robert has over 30 years of experience advising clients on complex competition and regulatory matters. This is the second team to move to Greenwoods in the last twelve months. Nine members from the Ince Private Client & Tax team joined in September 2023.
