The focus of his law practice is on public procurement law and EU state aid legislation. He advises private and public companies as well as contracting authorities in public procurement law matters and state aid legislative matters. Focal points here include complex construction projects like soccer stadiums and local public transportation systems.

Wolfgang E. Trautner is an honorary professor for public procurement law at Mittelhessen University of Applied Sciences (THM) and ongoing contributor to German periodicals for public procurement law (ZVgR, VPR) and real estate/construction law (IBR).

Notary Practice Prof. Trautner focuses his notary practice on matters in corporate law (business start-ups and corporate acquisitions/disposals), inheritance law and real estate law in connection with the public sector (urban planning contracts) the drafting of powers of attorney and living wills as well as the drafting of powers of attorney and living wills.
