The firm

Sekri Valentin Zerrouk was founded in 2004, with the vision to create a new model that departed from the standard ‘mega-firm’ approach and instead focused on delivering legal services of the highest quality. The firm has grown steadily ever since.

Areas of practice

Private equity: the firm acts as legal and tax counsel alongside sellers, private equity funds or management teams in defining the structuring of LBO transactions, as well as in the preparation and negotiation of the documents and contracts required for the realisation of these projects.

M&A/restructuring: the firm regularly acts for major corporate groups in their merger, acquisition, restructuring, spin-off, growth and corporate reorganisation projects. The firm has strong experience in handling complex industrial and social reorganisations in France.

Venture capital: Sekri Valentin Zerrouk represents technology, life sciences, and other growth enterprises, as well as venture firms and industrial investors that finance them, at every stage of development from entrepreneurial start-ups to multinational corporations.

The litigation department assists and represents its clients before arbitral, civil and criminal courts in the following areas: distribution, competition, contractual liability, product liability, post acquisitions matters, industrial risks and insurance, transport and criminal law.

Real estate and urban planning: Sekri Valentin Zerrouk assists French and foreign institutional and private investors in complex real estate transactions and advises its clients in the field of urban planning law for which the firm has the ability to set up crossdisciplinary teams.

Public law: the firm advises the state, territorial authorities, public companies and agencies as well as private companies that partner with the government in the management and operation of public services, public works concessions, public contracts, development concessions, public property occupancy agreements, and public private partnerships. The firm advises and represents entities subject to public law in transactions involving the privatisation, restructuring and modernisation of the public sector to help them adapt to changes in their legal environment.

Sekri Valentin Zerrouk advises its clients in matters of environmental law (eg environmental audits, authorisations of classified facilities (ICPE), nuclear installations, permits relating to the Clean Water Act).

Sekri Valentin Zerrouk assists its clients in the capacity of both advisor and litigator in the various aspects of labour law and in particular in the management of the individual employment relationship, relationships with employee representation bodies, collective bargaining negotiations, employee savings and investment plans, collective layoffs for economic reasons and social security issues.
