Compliance Tier 2

Kolcuoglu Demirkan Koçakli is adept at handling compliance matters relating to anti-corruption, anti-bribery, governance, regulatory, investigations litigation and data protection. It is acting for all of Hugo Boss’ Turkish subsidiaries in relation to compliance with data protection legislation and day-to-day employment and corporate law matters. Dispute resolution Tier 2

Kolcuoglu Demirkan Koçakli represents clients in commercial disputes, enforcement lawsuits, labour claims, international arbitration and post-arbitration proceedings, ADR, litigation and compliance investigations. It successfully represented SSI Schäfer Automation in the Court of Appeals in relation to the enforcement of a €1m ICC arbitration award. Clients include Roxcel Handelsgesellschaft, Hinduja Bank, Hugo Boss and Agence France-Presse. Practice head Okan Demirkan possesses 'energy, excellent expertise and a convincing courtroom presence'.

Energy Tier 2

Kolcuoglu Demirkan Koçakli acts for clients in the electricity, natural gas, petroleum, LPG, renewable and nuclear energy industries. Areas of expertise include oil import, wholesale, storage and export activities, greenfield investments, regulatory advice, licensing and permitting matters. It also deals with arbitration, M&A and corporate issues. Clients include Vitol, BP and Turcas Petrol. The ‘very professional, knowledgeable and client-oriented team’ is headed by the ‘responsive and punctual’ Okan Demirkan.

Real estate and construction Tier 2

Kolcuoglu Demirkan Koçakli advises clients on acquisitions, structuring, development agreements, EPCs, PPPs, land concession and zoning law. Other areas of expertise include sales, commercial lease agreements and real estate-related transactions. In a recent highlight it advised DM İnşaat on a $106m construction project in Dakar for the Senegalese government. Other clients include Vitol, NEF, Peri and Equinix. Serhan Koçaklı heads the team.

Employment Tier 3

Kolcuoglu Demirkan Koçakli handles the full range of employment law issues including labour unions law and collective bargaining agreements, occupational health and safety, social security, tax, foreign employee work permits and litigation. The team is headed by Okan Demirkan and Serhan Kocaklı and counsel Maral Minasyan, who provides ‘solution-driven advice’.
