Ece Berkman advises clients on the protection, enforcement, and commercialization of their intellectual property rights in Türkiye, with a particular focus on trademark, copyright, unfair competition, media & entertainment, IT and brand-driven consumer industries such as cosmetics, beauty care, and FMCG (food & beverage).

She has solid experience in litigation and enforcement matters, representing leading global brands in cosmetics, luxury, fashion, lifestyle, technology and food sectors in disputes involving counterfeiting, unfair competition, copyright infringement, parallel imports, market entry barriers, and domain name disputes. Ece regularly acts in raids, injunction proceedings, infringement actions, invalidation and non-use cancellation lawsuits, and coordinates multi-jurisdictional strategies with international counsel.

Beyond contentious work, Ece is actively involved in IP-driven commercial transactions, where she negotiates and drafts a range of agreements including licensing, coexistence, assignment, movie production, content production, influencer agreements, software and media-related contracts. Her practice bridges intellectual property law with advertising and digital media, ensuring alignment between legal compliance and commercial strategy.

She also supports the management of multiple global trademark portfolios, assisting clients in developing customized enforcement and protection strategies aligned with their commercial objectives. Ece is particularly experienced in copyright-intensive industries, advising on audiovisual productions, documentaries, broadcasting, digital content, advertising campaigns, IT and entertainment law matters, as well as brand communications both traditional and digital platforms.

She is ranked by both World Trademark Review (WTR) and Managing IP – AM Patent, and is praised by clients for her strategic mindset, responsiveness, and business-oriented approach.

Ece is an active member of the International Trademark Association (INTA) Unfair Competition Committee and MARQUES Copyright Team contributes to international working groups focusing on unfair competition, copyright, and brand enforcement, closely following global trends in IP and media law.
