Işık Özdoğan is a well-respected practitioner in intellectual property law and heads the firm’s IP practice. She advises global clients on high-stakes IP litigation and dispute resolution, as well as the full lifecycle of trademark and patent portfolios. She advises clients at a strategic level, aligning intellectual property considerations with business priorities across key industries.

With a particular focus on life sciences, her practice centres on ensuring the effective protection, enforcement, and commercial use of clients’ intellectual property rights in Türkiye.Her experience also extends to sophisticated IP transactions, commercialization mandates, and complex market-entry projects. She regularly advises international clients on matters with significant commercial impact and is known for aligning legal strategy with broader commercial objectives. Active in sectors where IP assets are central to competitive advantage, Işık has led market-entry and risk-mitigation projects that overcome rights-related barriers and enable the successful launch of new products in Türkiye.

Işık manages local trademark and patent portfolios for prominent global brands and advises on sophisticated protection strategies against infringers and bad-faith actors. Her practice encompasses IP prosecution, monitoring and enforcement, delivering effective and commercially sound rights protection.

She serves on the Public Information Committee of INTA and on the Famous and Well-Known Marks Team of MARQUES.
