Launched in January 2022, Mermoz Avocats established a competition practice following the arrivals of Leyla Djavadi and Jean-Louis Fourgoux from FIDAL. Djavadi and Fourgoux have a strong focus on antitrust litigation and private enforcement cases, including bringing a €500m damages action for tech client Euris and defending energy company GreenYellow and Canal+ against rare class actions brought by consumer associations. The team covers work before the French Supreme Court, in addition to appeals against FCA sanctions and cartel matters. Merger control is another strength.

  • Represented EURIS before the FCA in a private enforcement claim against CEGEDIM and IQVIA, after the FCA’s sanction against CEGEDIM for abuse of dominant position.
