Mercia has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, with a focus on agreements involving intellectual property. Mercia’s intellectual property commercialisation practice deals with a broad range of intellectual property transactions, including the licensing, distribution and sale of intellectual property, material transfers, and contractual arrangements pertaining to intellectual property research and development. Additionally, she advises clients with regards to company structures and other strategies for protecting and generating revenue from intellectual property and assists with exchange control approvals in respect of cross-border transfers of intellectual property.

Mercia also has a keen interest in data privacy, electronic communications and transactions and consumer law, and she has successfully assisted numerous businesses with their compliance in respect of these areas of law.
