About

Anthony Collins – Powered by purpose

Anthony Collins (AC) is a national sector-specialist law firm with a clear  purpose: to improve lives, communities, and society. With over 300 staff and 44 partners, AC is a leading advisor to the social housing, local government, health and social care, charities, and social business sectors, as well as supporting individuals in a personal capacity.

AC works alongside chief executives, membership bodies, policy advisors, and government organisations to challenge injustice, shape social policy, and make the law more accessible, empowering clients and supporting the vulnerable to build a better society.

As the first Midlands law firm to achieve B Corp accreditation, AC uses the B Corp framework to drive continuous improvement across sustainability, equity, and accountability. The firm has committed to becoming net carbon zero by 2030, and its Birmingham office has already transformed its energy rating from EPC class E to A.

In 2024/25, 92% of AC’s work directly contributed to improving lives, communities, and society. The firm’s latest Social Impact Report showcases a range of achievements.

AC’s commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion (ED&I) is central to its culture. The firm recruits from non-Russell Group universities, uses a social mobility tool to widen opportunities, and celebrates a range of cultural and identity-based events.

Social Housing
The nationally leading social housing team advises registered providers across the UK. Their expertise spans major projects such as stock transfers, innovative structures, and joint ventures, as well as the day-to-day operational aspects of housing delivery. The team includes specialists in housing litigation, housing management, employment law, corporate services, and property. Health and Social Care
A trusted advisor to a wide range of social care providers, the team supports both private and third-sector providers, including five of the top 20 long-term care providers and five of the top ten third-sector providers. Their work informs national social policy through collaboration with key industry bodies such as Care England, the Home Care Association, and the National Care Forum (NCF).

The firm supports values-driven businesses in achieving financial success while staying true to their mission. Clients include community organisations, social enterprises, cooperatives, and mutuals. Services cover all aspects of business operations, including funding, succession planning, and employee ownership.

As one of the few top 200 law firms providing publicly funded legal aid services, the firm is also the sole provider of forced marriage legal services in certain local authorities. It is the leading Midlands firm for childcare and family law and has recently opened its Wolverhampton childcare hub, to broaden access to services.
